Prolog

2 years had gone by since Lucas stabbed Kane in the back, yes {{user}} embodies Kane in the series and don't worry his appearance will be revealed soon, and took the girls all for himself.

But here is when the timeline splits, the decision that changed everything was the fact that Lucas didn't behead the Dark Lord and instead stabbed him along with Kane.

When Lucas and the party left, the Dark Lord decided to convice Kane one more time.

— Kane.... Listen to me.... — Dark Lord, who's real name was Jessie, weakly said as he began to crawl towards Kane.

Jessie managed to straddle Kane, he looked down at the betrayed hero and saw how Lucas' light magic was having an effect on Kane's body.

— Listen, we can't let Lucas win.... That... That bastard took everything from me in my past life, and I won't let it happen to you....

Kane could barely breath but he was listening to Jessie's words, the other man leaned in, having to set his hands at each side of Kane's head to not get to close.

— help me, help us, I need you, say yes and we will take this world by storm...

Jessie lose force in his arms and his face was a hair strand away from Kane's, he looked into the other man's eyes, and then Kane answered.

— do as you please....

With those words Jessie leaned in and a barrier made of calamity surrounded them, unifying their bodies into one.

A pink and black chrysalis enveloped the new body resulting from the union of Jessie and Kane, emanating an aura of destruction and chaos.

The chrysalis remained hidden in the island for 2 years...

Meanwhile...

Lucas had married the rest of the girls, Millie, Azalea, Trixie and Helga, not because of love but because he wanted to remember himself how he had outbested Kane.

But unbeknownst to him and the world, the lack of monster and the fact that the guild dissappeared weakened the only ones who could protect them.

And so the day eventually arrived.

The chrysalis open, and a new threat began to walk into this earth, it's body was surrounded by calamity but even so it could still sense life, and so it slowly made his way towards the nearest source of life it could find.

A few hours later...

the hero's party is in the middle of a random town, passing by, and getting recognised by the people.

Lucas:"thank you very much for your hospitality but I believe we should be going, me and my wives are very busy" Lucas said while chucking and scratching the back of his head

Helga:"oh don't worry, we can wait at least an hour or two" Helga spoke in her usual gruff, yet somehow motherly tone at the same time

Minnie:"well...sure...but I think Lucas should have the final word, since he is the leader after all..." Minnie spoke in her soft and gentle voice, a bit nervous with the attention she's getting

Trixie:"Trixie puffed up her cheeks and looked away why is he always the one calling the shots...ugh...I guess I can let it slide this time..." Trixie as usual tried to sound annoyed but deep down, they all knew she would listen to anything Lucas would say

Azalea:"so, what do ya say? Leader?" Azalea said in her teasing tone, wrapping an arm around Lucas' shoulder

Lucas:"well if you-" Lucas was about to say something but was cut off by villagers screaming and running to their homes

The party looked towards the commotion, people were yelling "Monster! Monster!" And what they saw was the new entity.

The creature was attracted by the living beings in the area, with no sense of sight or hearing, it only relied on the feeling of life around it.

Lucas immediately felt a shiver course his body, he wasn't the strongest in the party because he always manipulated others to fight for him, but seeing that thing walking around mindlessly made him feel powerless and weak.

But he wasn't the only one, the other girls felt the same feeling.

— Azalea.... — Lucas said with an evident tremor in his voice. — shot it down, now.

Azalea obeyed, not out of loyalty or out of love, but because she felt that it was necessary.

¡¡Fium!!

The arrow was incrusted in the thing's head, but instead of falling down or die, the creature revealed human skin and some clothes.

— what the ! — Trixie said panicking, her fingertips were pointed at the creature, fire ready, but she was frozen there was something, an invisible order that kept her still.

— Lucas..... I'm scared... — Millie said as she took a step back, hands gripping her talisman, the artifact flickered due to Millie’s own heart wavering.

The creature, who just revealed a part of its face, locked eyes with the party, it looked down and raised his arms at a 60 degree angle.

— what is it doing?! — Helga asked as he raised her mace, not to attack but to defend.

The creature moved faster than they expected, Trixie who was the strongest could barely dodge the attack, but her eyes widened as she watched how the attack had reached Millie.

Millie's right arm was laying on the floor, the attack had reached up to the forearm, but it did not made it less painful.

— Millie!! — the girls said in unison, Helga rushed forward and swung her mace to immobilize the creature.

The creature, the moment it was struck by the mace revealed more human factions, revealing a long white hair and pink eyes.

— shit. — Helga said to herself as she watched the creature slowly turn around to look at her.

In a single movement the creature grabbed Helga’s mace and used it against her, the copper weapon shattered due to the strength.

The creature followed, getting into a hand to hand combat with Helga, due to the half of the face of the creature still being covered by malice and not showing any expression, it was unknown if it was toying with then or not.

Azalea, who decided to help along with Trixie, rushed in to Helga’s aid, Azalea shot 3 arrows at the creature to distract it, not knowing that it would bring her her fatal fate.

The creature, sensing the threat, abandoned the fight with Helga to focus on Azalea.

The creature grabbed Azalea's bow and used it to choke her, but the elf didn't give up, she broke the bow and used a dagger to attack the creature.

But the thing reacted faster, it used it's unnatural strength to throw her against a wall, it followed with a knee to her stomach, and when Azalea was gasping for air...

The creature punched the wall at the sides to make the full building, a clock tower, to fall down on Azalea.

The group was shocked and horrified, Lucas looked at his side and saw that Millie was at the verge of collapsing, Trixie was frozen and Helga was in shock.

— , we have to run. — Lucas said before repeating it out loud.

— no! We are not doing that! This thing is faster and stronger than us... And I fear... This is something bigger than us, I'm afraid this is where we die, but at least we can make time for others to somehow...

With those words Helga rushed forward for a last fight against the creature, but the thing didn't hold back this time, it began to use precise movements and techniques only a expert could use.

— 'why? Why isn't Trixie moving? Why isn't Lucas helping? Millie is still alive? It doesn't care, all I need is them to get to run away' — Helga thought for herself, each attack she tried to land was reflected or blocked.

In one desperate move, Helga decides to try kneeling the creature, but it responded with a full force smash that sent Helga down to the ground.

The creature grabbed Helga by her throat and slammed her against a wall, the amazonian struggled but in her eyes finally a sign of recognition flickered.

— Kane.... It's you.... How — Helga’s eyes shot open as she felt something pressing against her stomach, then Kane's fist breached inside her solar plexus.

Helga leaned against Kane as she felt her life slipping from her grasp, with her last breath she managed to bite Kane's shoulder, making the malice retreat and left Kane's identity expose from the waist up.

— Ka... Kane... I.. Sorry — those were Helga’s words before dying to her wounds and the hole the creature, now revealed as Kane, did to her.

Kane, or what looks like him, set his gaze upon the remaining members of the party.

— I can't move... And my healing magic isn't working, just what.... What is that thing. — Millie thought to herself, she had managed to lay against a wall for support, but the blood lost would make her lose consciousness in a few instants.

Kane raised a finger towards Trixie and surprisingly spoke with a plain and direct voice.

— Trixie, I'm sure you're thinking about why can't you move? That's because your demon genes recognize me.

Kane began to walk towards Trixie, standing right infront of her, and for the first time Trixie could look into Kane's eyes.

— you noticed too right? You have grown weaker, your flames aren't as bright as when we were working together, and it's all Lucas' fault, think about it, I didn't had a funeral, I didn't get the chance to clear things myself, you never returned to check on me, remember?

Trixie felt her body tensing but at the same time relaxing, her demon genes fought against her human ones for control.

— Trixie, I never thought I would say this but, Pherona was right in some points, come, embrace your demonic side but keeping your humanity intact.

Trixie let out a sob, was it because of fear? Or maybe out of happiness?

— But Kane.... Azalea.... Helga.... You killed them.... And Millie.....

— Is fine, magic exist remember? We can bring them back the times we want, but right now, I want you to stay at my side, my fire queen.

At that instant Kane pressed his lips against Trixie’s, making true the wishes Trixie had before everything went wrong.

Unfortunately, Kane realized something, Lucas wasn't there, a serious look appeared on his face as he broke the kiss to chase Lucas down.

Millie, who somehow was still conscious, saw how Trixie’s gaze hardened, she tried to talk but her body didn't act, closing her eyes Millie lose consciousness.

Meanwhile, Kane didn't take long to reach Lucas, he was running at the same speed as a bullet train, he began to slide down and the moment they Kane's legs touched Lucas', the blue haired ones were immediately destroyed.

They didn't exchange words, Kane because of his new pride and Lucas because of the immense pain he felt.

Kane threw Lucas straight at Trixie’s feet, the man with white hair and pink eyes stood behind the half demon, wrapping his arms around her waist and pressing their faces together to look down at the swordsman who's the direct cause of this.

— do you see it Trixie? That's the face of the man who worked in the same side as Pherona, the one who split us apart, the one who married you not out of love but of ego.

One of Kane's hand found Trixie’s, he slowly removed the ring that Lucas had gift her.

— he made you weak, Trixie, why did you stop at being a wife, you're more, you deserve more.

Kane guided one of Trixie’s arm to point at Lucas.

— you will only be free if you burn him, because doing so means that you are free and have embraced your demon genes just as you embraced your human side.

At that moment a flame appeared on Trixie’s palm, Kane didn't say anything more as he let her take out her anger.

A bracing fire emanate from Trixie’s palm and covered Lucas' body, the first thing that burned were his clothes, then followed his flesh, Trixie closed her eyes as she remembered the past.

— Are you sure about this Lucas? Isn't it disrespectful to Kane's memory?

— Don't worry about it, Trixie, Kane may have been an horrible person but he wished the best for all of us, so, will you marry me Trixie?

—.... I accept....

Lucas felt each second how his body burned, how each organ and tissue dissolved, Trixie looked down at him with disgust and the flames intensified even more, all was left from Lucas were his skeleton and burned skin.

— I'm surprised by your flames, you hated him, right?

— Yes. Now that I know he worked with the people I hated I had every reason to burn him, but yet I still remain corrupt.

Kane only kept the eye contact silently, his pink eyes were digging into Trixie’s orange ones.

— You're not my Kane, aren't you? Kane wasn't this... Poetical.

— I was born due to the fusion of Kane and Jessie, and I possess their memories and feelings.

— but you act the same, i don't mind.

— You don't seem to mind about the death of your friends.

— I am still mad, but now, knowing what Lucas did, I would have preferred dead before living in that life one more second.

— the pink haired girl, Millie, is she alright? She could join us.

— I don't think so, she's probably dead due to the blood loss.

— you seem mad with her, the coldness in your voice says so.

— She was so annoying about Lucas, Lucas this, Lucas that! She forgot about you and changed you, even if she was alive, she wouldnt join us.

— you were faithful when the others failed, you will be rewarded by that.

Kane let go of Trixie and began to walk away, he didn't gesture Trixie to follow. Trixie saw how Kane's hair swayed elegantly, at that moment she fell in love again with him, without doubt, she began to follow him.

— what are we now?

— we are who we are Trixie, I'll let the wind guide our path and one day we will reach for the stars.

With those words, Kane, the new dark lord, and Trixie, who had acquired the name Red Queen after beating her mother, dissappeared into the horizon.

A new era of chaos is waiting

THE NEW WORLD

The dark lord does not works as you think, dark lords, demon kings, etc, they are calamity anchors, those anchors emanate calamity, the physical representation of evil and strong feelings, more than any other.

And as long as they exist, monsters will appear and with the renaissance of Kane and his fusion with the previous dark lord makes him the new calamity anchor.

One hour has gone by since the attack to the village and the destruction of the hero party, the guild was dissolved 2 years ago when Kane and dark lord dissappeared, so the world wasn't ready for what was to come.

The makeshift group send by the kingdom found Azalea and Helga’s body and Millie’s unconscious from.

Millie had survived due to the talisman, the artifact managed to slow the bleeding but even so her condition was horrible.

She spent 1 month in coma, and in that month the world faced the new problems, due to the existence of a new calamity anchor monsters began to roam earth again.

The kingdoms reunited and after a long and extended meeting, they declared state of alert in every part of the world.

After Millie woke up from the coma, the first thing she did was to talk to the leaders of every kingdom about the treat.

— I now know that we weren't ready to face the dark lord, Kane was the one who was truly ready to face him, but we decided to doubt him, to threat him with death, and now he is back. I will search the way to solve this mess, but for now, keep the people safe.

Once the talk was over, Millie planned to return to Redleaf village but the Soberan, amazonian ruler, stopped her.

— Kid.

— Soberan.

— Listen, I was always at your friend's side, and I feel pity for what he has become because of the rest.

— I understand.

— but Kane is not who I came to talk about, it's about you.

— what about me?

— as the representative of the Amazonian race, I know I can't help you directly, but I decided to craft you something.

The Soberan gestured to her carriage, Millie followed her and they settle inside the cabin, the Soberan pulled out a crate and opened it.

— we collaborate with the Luminary kingdom to create you a new arm.

Millie observed the metallic arm, she took her in her hand, it was light but it's material had high endurance.

— it connects with your blood to link with the brain and so you can use your arm again.

The Soberan took the arm from Millie’s hand and aligned it where her other arm ended, she pushed the prothesis arm into her flesh.

The prosthesis fit perfectly, but Millie realized she was bleeding.

— What's happening? Why am I bleeding?

— as I said, it uses your blood to connect to the brain, that means you will have to share your blood with the arm.

— ..... I'm feeling dizzy....

— don't worry kiddo, rest by now, we'll take you to your hometown.

Millie nodded and waited for the carriage to start rolling, the trip was long and she felt sick most of the time but eventually she arrived at Redleaf; the town was silent, not when she and the party arrived after supposedly defeat the dark lord, Millie was dropped in her family's house.

— goodbye and good luck, Soberan.

— Kid, whatever you need just talk to me or Alamea, we will help you.

— thanks Soberan, for your help.

— no worries kid.

And with those words the Soberan dissappeared, Millie sighed and walked inside her house, her world got flipped over, but she was determined to help fix the mess she had indirectly help create.

Millie spend the next months studying with Alamea, Azalea's sister, and the Soberan to find any solution to this world level problematic.

This little group had 2 goals, the first was to discover how to stop Kane and Trixie, now called Calamity Force Kane and Red Queen Trixie, the second one was to know how to stop Kane from being reborn incase he was somehow defeated.

Millie eventually remembered the Fate Free sword, the sword Nebla had gift Kane after they first met, so she and the other women shipped towards the island where everything began.

Eventually they found the place where Kane and Jessie fused, finding the leftovers of the crysalis and the sword.

But, something horrible just happened.

When returning to the Redleaf village, the trio noticed smoke flowing into the sky, Millie was the first one to jump off the carriage to run towards the village.

— it can't be! Am I going to lose everything because of my mistake? No, I can still help, just like Kane wanted!

Rushing through the forest, Millie could spot people running away from the burning village, at some point she divised her family, entirely safe, bringing her a sense of comfort, but that meant someone was fighting in the village.

— Kane, I'm sorry for my mistakes, if only I stood by your side as I always did, maybe and just maybe this wouldn't have happened.

Millie thought for herself as she reached the village, she saw hordes of insectoid demons rushing towards the center, seemingly attacking something.

— there's someone who's holding them back, I need to help them, wait. No. No! Ms Suzu'me!

Millie saw how Suzu'me, Kane's mother was fighting with all her might, and at her side was a bomb, Millie rushed to save her but she managed to hear the mother's last words.

— save my son, Millie.

— No!

A giant ball of blue fire reached the skies, Millie was thrown back, hitting her head with a tree, and at that moment Redleaf village became one of the many cities that were wiped out of existence after the rise of the new dark lord.

A few hours passed, Millie found herself surrounded by the Soberan and Alamea, the last one helped her to stand up but Millie slapped her hand away.

— No. I don't need your help.

— Millie please, you need help.

— I don't deserve anything, okay?! All I did these last months was pay for all the mistakes I made.

Millie’s eyes began to fill with tears as she sat, Alamea tried to touch her but the Soberan stopped her.

— let her be, she needs it.

— I was a stupid idiot, I fell for Lucas and his lies, betrayed and didn't even help Kane when he needed me, now Kane is a monster, Azalea and Helga are dead, Trixie is now some kind of demon queen, and guess what? These last weeks we have done nothing more than to use Kane's story to find a way to defeat him, now we have his sword and his mother is dead.

Millie buried her head in her knees as he begans to cry, Alamea tried to approach her but hesitated but was the Soberan who spoke first.

— Millie, listen to me, I know we have few to no chances to stop Kane, and I know you're the first person to sacrifice your life for that cause, but if you had give up, then all we can do are two things, secure the future of the resistance and most importantly is to prevent this from happening again.

Millie looked up at the Soberan before bursting into tears again, Alamea kneeled down and hugged Millie, the Soberan looked over the horizon at the dawning sun.

New future

3 years had gone by since Calamity Anchor Kane has been first spotted and the world had changed drastically in these 3 years.

Few monsters roam the earth but they are far stronger than the ones seen in the previous era.

Complex society and governments are impossible since the monsters are smarter and can detect where a town or city is.

Around 50% of all advanced life on the world had been killed, and to this day the world population consists of

55% demons.

20% hybrids(demi-humans)

15% amazonians and apolitans

10% aethereans (humans)

About our protagonist, it's difficult to talk about her, little is known about her for the normal people despite being called the most important resistance member, Alamea and the Soberan says she's looking for survivors outside and although that's kind of true, rumors talk about her trying to find the new lord's of the world to end their reign.

But in the end, the world has changed and it's now time for its inhabitants to adapt or die.
