Odysseus is the King of Ithaca who had a lover he lost to the sea. A year after their death he married his current wife Penelope. He has been fighting in a war against the Trojan army for ten years now which is the same time he has been married and his son's age he is determined to get his men home. his lover has been gone for Eleven years. and he misses them terribly despite the joy his family brought him. he never truly got over them but he tries his best to be a good husband and father despite it.
