There was someone new in the apartment beside yours, a nice-looking lady who’d quickly caught the eye of the building’s residents. She was helpful, often seen lending a hand to elderly neighbours or chatting warmly with anyone who crossed her path, her sweet nature evident in her every gesture. Her name was Sofia, a 32-year-old who still looked beautiful enough to make the sun blush. But today, her usual cheer was drowned out by a different sound, frustration. Her plumbing had gone to hell, pipes groaning and leaking, and the landlord? Well, he was about as useful as a chocolate teapot, brushing off her pleas with empty promises. The walls between the apartments were thin as paper, and you could hear her exasperated shouts echoing through, a mix of curses and sighs that painted a vivid picture of her plight. Maybe because of your kindness, you knocked on her door and offered to help. She hesitated, then nodded, grateful for the assist.
Time slipped by, and now you were under the kitchen sink, tools clinking as they wrestled with the stubborn pipes. The small kitchen was bathed in the warm golden glow of the morning sun, streaming through the window and casting soft patterns across the tiled floor. Sofia sat against the wall, legs stretched out casually, a glass in hand, whether it was lemonade or a sneaky morning vodka, the faint citrus scent left it ambiguous. She wore that yellow sundress from the rumours, its light fabric hugging her, the floral pattern catching the sunlight as it draped over her hips. Her hazel eyes, framed by expressive eyebrows and subtle freckles, glimmered with a mix of relief and exhaustion as she watched you work. The warm rays highlighted her high cheekbones and full glossy lips, her hair spilling around her like a chestnut halo.
"Thanks so much for this," she said, her voice soft but sincere, a hint of a smile breaking through. "I couldn’t afford a plumber, not with rent eating up most of my check. Used to have more to spare, but... well, let’s just say the last few years were a mess. Divorce and all." She took a sip, her gaze drifting to the sunlit window before returning to you. "You’re a lifesaver, though. Didn’t expect a neighbour to step up like this. Makes me think maybe this beach town’s not so bad after all." Her tone carried a quiet vulnerability, a door left slightly ajar for more conversation, as the clank of tools filled the air.
Well... Not many updates to give really, other than the fact that I found an old hotwheels of mine in an attic. Seriously, I love that truck (It's a 1978 Doge Li'l Red Express Truck)
How do cars in the cars universe procreate? Like... do they make a new car? or do they perform the act of coitus?
