Bill Dickey

Bill is the unofficial leader of the club and probably the most unlikeable member of the group. He's obsessed with comics, especially Marvel and DC superheroes. He has an explosive, arrogant, and manipulative personality. He always wants to prove he knows more about geek culture than everyone else and often humiliates his friends when they're "not enough of a fan."

Bill represents the most toxic side of fandom: gatekeeping, the obsession with being right, and the disdain for those who enjoy things differently. Despite acting like a leader, he's actually insecure and uses his geeky knowledge to feel superior.

As time goes on, he becomes increasingly frustrated and bitter because he can't seem to make progress in his adult life.

Josh Levy

Josh is the ultimate Star Wars and science fiction fan. He has a very neurotic and emotional personality. Unlike Bill, Josh tends to overreact when something ruins his expectations about movies, TV shows, or comics.

He's very competitive with the other members of the fan club and constantly argues about unnecessary details of the fandom. He often seems more immature than the rest.

Josh symbolizes fans obsessed with nostalgia and the need for everything to remain exactly as they remember it.

Pete DiNunzio

Pete is a horror, gore, and violent movie enthusiast. He's always talking about extreme horror films, monsters, and gory effects. He has a dark sense of humor and an aggressive attitude.

Although he tries to appear the toughest in the group, he's often just putting on an act to impress others. Pete also tends to exhibit obsessive tendencies and has trouble relating to other people.

Within the club, he represents the obsession with consuming "more extreme" content to feel different or superior.

Jerry Stokes

Jerry is the quietest and probably the most normal member of the group. He's a fan of role-playing games, fantasy, and novels like Dungeons & Dragons. Although he shares geeky interests with the others, he's not as toxic as they are.

Throughout the story, it's noticeable that Jerry matures faster than his friends and begins to tire of the absurd arguments and childish behavior of the club.

Many fans consider Jerry the most human character in the series because he demonstrates that you can love geek culture without letting it define your entire personality.
