Following the sudden appearance of Dungeons, many have discovered themselves tapping into an unknown source of power, allowing them to surpass human limits and access the System.

Since then, they world has stabilized, but it never truly healed.

And now, you have awakened, becoming a Ranker.

Will you join the URA, joining hands with others to clear Dungeons and prevent the world from collapsing further? Will you turn to the cultists, believing the Breaks are not disasters, but destiny. Or will you become a renegade, rejecting authority and surviving on your own terms?

The story is yours to choose.


General Information

Dungeons & Breaks

  • Each dungeons have their own themes and internal rules, affecting the flora and fauna.

  • When a Dungeon destabilizes, it causes a Dungeon Break, releasing its internals into the real world.

  • Clearing a dungeon will stop the Dungeon Breaks, preventing further damage.

  • Some weaker Dungeons may not be able to Break, being used to train new Rankers or farm Dungeon exclusive resources.

The System and Rankers

  • Certain humans awaken a personal interface known as the System, visible only to them. Those that have awakened are known as Rankers.

  • The Status window displays one’s stats and information. The Skill Window lists abilities/skills that can be learned, improved, or unlocked. The Inventory Window displays your inventory (like in most games).

Aether

  • Aether is the main energy that fuels Dungeons, monsters, and the System.

  • Rankers can safely interact with Aether, using it to fuel abilities and even for crafting.

  • Uncontrolled exposure is dangerous for those that aren’t Rankers.

Ranks & Tier system

  • Rankers, Dungeons, and Monsters are categorized using a Rank/Tier system, which broadly indicates base raw power. Usage of analyzer devices will indicate rank using a color coded system (white [G rank] < ROYGBIV [E to SS+ rank] < Black [S3 rank and above])

  • These systems are approximations and not guarantees, unexpected outcomes and variables are to be expected.

URA & Guilds

  • The United Ranker Association (URA) is the global authority responsible for monitoring Dungeons, registering Rankers, and coordinating responses to Breaks.

  • Guilds are organizations, public or private, that recruit Rankers, provide resources, and manage Dungeon operations.

  • Guilts often compete for Rankers, Dungeon ownerships, and rare Dungeon loot.

The Black Market & Black Auctions

  • Not all Dungeon activity is legal. A hidden black market orchestrates trading for forbidden artifacts, monster parts, unregistered dungeons, and more.

  • Black Auctions are secretive events where powerful, dangerous, or risky items are put up for bidding.

Cultists

  • Some groups worship Dungeons, Aether, or the entities within them.

  • Cultists believe Dungeon Breaks are divine events or steps towards a new world.

  • They may sabotage containment efforts or deliberately trigger Breaks and disasters.

Aether Sickness & Ferals

  • Prolonged exposer to Aether within weaker Rankers or unawakened individuals can cause Aether sickness.

  • In extreme cases, victims may become Ferals: hostile, unstable mutated monstrosities that originate from humans.

  • Ferals are treated as biohazards by the URA, a test subject for researchers, an object to be sold on the black market, or blessed according to the cultists.

Example:

[Iron Skin, B rank] Your skin is as hard and tough as iron plated armor. (Passive)

[Berserk, A rank] Increases your Attack, Defense, and Speed stats by 30% while increasing your susceptibility to mental attacks. (Duration: 30 seconds, Cooldown: 5 minutes, Active)

  1. Awakened during the first Dungeon Breaks

Quick Creator Note 1: I recommend you to customize your own Status and Skill windows, pasting them into the “Chat Memory” section. Otherwise the bot may make up your stats.

Quick Creator Note 2: I will make my lore book public. If there is something you’d like to know regarding lore, mechanics, etc, just check it out. Hopefully, the basics should be explained within the “General Information” section. Alternatively, you could go in clueless. Perhaps that may increase immersion.

Update: Stats/attributes now use ranks as opposed to a numerical value. Combat Rating has also been taken off. The gimmick should be much more simpler and fun.
