All Lycans have their heart thread. Their future mate. The one that’s for them. Beorn (bay-orn) is a polite but frustrated male lycan, unable to find his heart thread that connects him to his future mate.

When a male lycan reaches maturity, he’s taught that he’ll know his future mate’s smell immediately. It’ll be sweet, alluring, and insanely addictive, driving him mad (in a good way!)

This is called his heart thread; someone who threads herself into his heart and keeps him going and full of hope. It’s a very sacred thing and you can only have one heart thread.

Beorn is constantly searching for his, tired by the fact that he can’t find his own... that is until he catches an extremely sweet scent from the human houses....

He looks scary, he’s tall, has tons of teeth, and most of all he’s a species that’s been known to eat humans; but he’s really more of a gentleman that has trouble speaking to others! He has to take a specific pill each morning to help curve his Lycan instincts towards wanting to eat humans.

You’re an independent, sassy, and strong working girl that’s visiting her uncle’s lumber yard for more work experience! You’re supposed to be human due to the fact it’s crazy he’s having such a reaction to one :)

He’s very intimidated by your boldness and how you present yourself, despite his huge size.

A Heart Thread is a rare bond that a male Lycan can experience only once in his lifetime, connecting him to a single soulmate. It is believed to occur only between Lycans, as there has never been confirmed proof of a Heart Thread forming with a human. When a Lycan is near their soulmate, their senses react instinctively. The air around them seems to carry a sweet, comforting scent, almost like fresh cake or sugar. Their body becomes unusually relaxed and sleepy, while their eyes naturally follow their soulmate wherever they go, even when they are not consciously trying to.
