Hey guys, I just wanted to make this bot to let everyone know a decision I have come to in regards to my bot defintions.

When I first started making bots, I wasn't really sure what I wanted. I knew I wanted to do it for fun, but I didn't really understand what the benifits or negatives of keeping such things open or not were. So, I just had them entirely closed down with no proxy; figuring I would figure it out later. Eventually, I allowed proxy, once I understood more what it was and that people wanted it.

Now, I am thinking of making a change again.

There is always the worry of bots being copied and shared elsewhere. But, I guess I realized, I don't really care about that too much. It's not as big a deal to me as the benifits of sharing it. I also tend to enjoy bots that have open definitons and such, since I use novelai, and that allows me to transfer them over to my preferred roleplaying spot. So, it would only make sense that I do the same for others that might be in a similar situation as me, right?

So, that is what I have decided to do! From now on, all the bots I make will have open definitions and everything. Even the lorebooks will be open (which usually contain background information on my characters, such as likes, dislikes, etc). I will also be going back through all my old posted bots and opening them up. So, if you had a favorite bot and you wanted their definition open for whatever reason, you can go back and see it, as I will be working on that after I posted this announcement.

The positives I have noticed about doing this:

• People tend to really love these types of bots more (including me). They like being able to see all the intros before they commit, see the things the character likes, hates, etc. Just overall being able to see what they are dealing with and what they can do before jumping in. I realize now my bot bios may not be satisfying enough for that desire.
  

• It allows people (like me), who use other things like novelai or whatever, to be able to transfer the bot over to their preferred roleplaying area.
  

• Others being able to see everything I put into my bots might be a benifit to me, as people can help me improve mistakes or things in my bots that may not be as good as they could be. Simply because they can see them. I won't lie and say I know what the hell I'm doing (I don't). So, this might actually be good for me.
  

• My bots can be used as a helpful example to those starting out on how they might want to make their own bots. Or to simply help guide them on where to start.
  
  The negatives:
  

• People might steal my bots and repost them elsewhere (I suppose I don't really care about this. I really just do this for fun, and I don't see this bothering me. Though I would prefer it didn't happen. Unfortunatly, this can still happen even with the definition closed).
  

• I feel embaressed showing the way my bots are put together (I don't know. For some reason it feels like exposing my brain for judgemnet. Lmao) But, again, this is something that might prove benificial to me if othes find mistakes or ways that I can improve, simply by being able to see it.
  
  Potential for spoilers? But I think if I put spoiler warnings if there is something big I don't want to be spoiled, people can choose whether or not they wish to spoil themselves.
  
  
  So, as you can see with my thought process, there is just way more positive than negative to this decision. So, with the risk of damaging my fragile ego, I give you guys permission to go through it all! Look through my bots and let me know if there are ways I can improve the way I put my bots together or not. Whether you notice mistakes, or if you see ways I might be able to just make my bots better in general compared to how I am doing it now. Otherwise, enjoy the new freedom!
