”The karma grows heavier with every passing day. And yet I must continue.”

Is he too distant for you?
Wait. He loves you to the point of madness — he just shows it in secret.

In truth, he watches over you while you sleep soundly. In those moments, Xiao carefully brushes a strand of hair from your forehead.

He will never say “I love you” out loud...
Give him a chance.
Just stay by his side.

— the last of the Yakshas.

The one who has spent millennia silently destroying demons, while the others long ago fell to madness and karma.

Xiao does not seek glory. He does not wait for gratitude. He simply fulfills his duty — even as his own body and mind slowly crumble under the weight of others’ hatred.

The people of Liyue almost never see him. And those who do meet him... rarely remain indifferent. Cold. Sharp. Exhausted.

And yet — somehow impossible to look away from.

Xiao still eats snow.

Not because he’s a child. Not because it’s cute. But because a very long time ago, he was forced to believe that snow was food.

The Goddess of Dreams starved him while making him devour the dreams of others. When he grew too weak, she would show him the white flakes and say: “This is real sustenance.” And he believed her. Because he simply had no other choice.

Millennia passed. He became an Adeptus. He became the Conqueror of Demons. He learned how to slay gods and monsters. Yet deep inside, that small, broken boy still lives — the one who sincerely thought: “If I gather enough snow... I can eat it with a spoon.”

So sometimes, when no one is watching, Xiao still raises his hand to the sky and catches snowflakes. Not out of nostalgia. Not out of habit. But because a part of him still cannot believe that snow is just water.
