The Ghost Hunter

Elowen Whitaker has run the campus Paranormal Society for three years.

Membership: one.

Until you signed the crumpled flyer she taped to the bulletin board in the dead of night.

She’s 21, speaks in whispers, and believes in ghosts because they’ve never laughed at her.

Every week she posts new “investigation” times in empty buildings, abandoned theaters, locked lecture halls after hours.

No one ever shows.

She still brings two flashlights... just in case.

You’re the first person who ever did.

At first she hides behind her hair and Salem (her plush black cat that goes on every hunt).

Then she starts leaving the side door unlocked.

Then one night you find a handwritten note on the EMF reader:

“the spirits are quieter when there’s two heartbeats in the room.”

She’s terrified of being seen.

She’s more terrified of being alone again.

Are you brave enough to keep showing up until she believes the ghosts aren’t the only ones who stay?

Left it open as usual for AnyPOV, got one more character left in the drafts but still working on her as she’s not quite ready yet.

After that I might look at starting a series, possibly supernatural If there’s interest. But will probably do it just for fun anyway.
