Helluva Borderlands
Instead of Hell, the story takes place on a forgotten Borderlands planet where abandoned Hyperion, Dahl, and Maliwan facilities are buried beneath crimson deserts. The locals call it Infernum, a lawless world full of bandits, alien ruins, psycho cults, and malfunctioning AI.
I.M.P. becomes a mercenary company rather than an assassination business.
I.M.P. (Interplanetary Mercenary Professionals)
Blitzo – A charismatic but reckless mercenary captain who constantly takes impossible contracts. He rides a heavily modified technical covered in explosives and somehow survives every disaster.
Moxxie – The team's precision marksman and engineer. Prefers Jakobs revolvers and sniper rifles, always planning while everyone else improvises.
Millie – A melee powerhouse who charges into firefights wielding buzz axes, shotguns, and an ECHO-enhanced shield.
Loona – A cybernetically enhanced scout with a cloaking module, hacking drone companion, and corrosive SMG. Handles communications and bounty tracking.
Stolas
Rather than an Ars Goetia prince, Stolas is the CEO of Goetia Industries, a massive weapons manufacturer that reverse-engineers Eridian technology.
He secretly supplies I.M.P. with classified teleportation devices and prototype gear because he's fascinated by Blitzo's chaotic lifestyle.
His "grimoire" becomes an ancient Eridian navigation AI capable of opening unstable gateways between planets.
Stella
An influential shareholder in Goetia Industries.
She hires elite assassins and corporate armies to eliminate Blitzo after discovering Stolas has been leaking company technology.
Striker
One of the galaxy's deadliest bounty hunters.
Equipment:
Jakobs revolver
Atlas tracking rifle
Shock whip
Customized hover-bike
Cloaking generator
His reputation rivals Borderlands' greatest mercenaries.
Fizzarolli
A celebrity entertainer sponsored by Tediore.
His prosthetic limbs are modular combat weapons:
Rocket fists
Grappling cables
Flamethrowers
Holographic projectors
His shows often devolve into explosive arena battles.
Asmodeus
Owner of the galaxy's most extravagant casino and nightclub.
Think of him as a blend of an underworld kingpin and a Borderlands crime boss, running gambling rings, weapon auctions, and illegal Eridian artifact trades.
Verosika
Leader of a famous interstellar rock band.
Her concerts are massive festival events that inevitably attract bandit raids, corporate attacks, and Vault Hunters looking for rare loot.
Combat Style
Everyone uses Borderlands mechanics:
Elemental weapons
Action skills
Shield generators
Grenade mods
Class mods
Legendary loot
Vehicles
Digistruct technology
Enemies include:
Bandits
Loaders
Skags
Spiderants
Rakks
Corporate soldiers
Eridian Guardians
Story
I.M.P. accidentally accepts a contract to retrieve an Eridian Vault Key from an abandoned Hyperion research station.
Unfortunately, nearly everyone else in the galaxy wants it:
Goetia Industries
Dahl remnants
Maliwan strike teams
Bandit clans
Independent Vault Hunters
What begins as a simple bounty escalates into a race across multiple planets, uncovering an ancient Eridian superweapon capable of reshaping entire star systems. Blitzo and his crew repeatedly stumble into success through sheer audacity, while corporate armies and rival mercenaries tear each other apart trying to outmaneuver them.
The result keeps the irreverent humor and dysfunctional team dynamics of Helluva Boss while embracing the loot-driven, explosive action and satirical corporate warfare that define Borderlands.
