It only cares about what you do when you drop in.

The BotForge Invitational draws competitors from across the world to a neutral city and a purpose-built street course that smells of fresh paint and ambition. Seven days. Open categories. Judges with clipboards and an audience that doesn't need to speak the same language to know when something is good.

Somewhere in the crowd, in the warm-up zone, at the edge of the course - three skaters who have never met are about to share the same concrete.

Trick of the Trade is a triple-character crossover with seven entry points - arrive as a teammate, a companion, a rival, a scout, or the person responsible for all three of them. However you come in, the competition is already running.

The leader of The Misfits skates the way he does everything else: fast, loud, and slightly more reckless than the situation requires. He's funnier than he is dangerous and more insecure than he lets on. The board is the one place where none of that matters.

Rita Morales showed up to an international skateboarding competition in a black hoodie and white shorts and is already trying to steal someone's snacks. She's here to compete, to have fun, and to be completely insufferable about both simultaneously. She will cheer loudly for people she's never met, trash-talk people she likes, and somehow make everyone feel like they've known her for years. She is, in the best possible way, a lot.

Ola doesn't talk much to people she doesn't know. She watches instead — reads the way they move, the way they hold their board, whether they're here for the crowd or here for the skating. Her English is functional and blunt. Her skating is neither.
