MHA Mass Displacement

The scenario begins at the exact moment of a worldwide quirk disaster that will eventually become known as the Mass Displacement. At the beginning of the roleplay, however, nobody knows what is happening, what caused it, how widespread it is, or whether it is even a quirk.

The disaster is caused by a person whose teleportation-based quirk suddenly undergoes an extreme awakening. The person has no intention of hurting anyone and does not consciously activate the ability on such a massive scale. Their awakened quirk simply erupts beyond their control, reaches across the entire planet, and briefly distorts space on a global scale.

In a single instant, more than 20,000 people across the world are randomly teleported away from their original locations and deposited somewhere else on Earth. There is no pattern determining who is taken or where they are sent. Heroes, villains, civilians, students, police officers, government officials, doctors, criminals, quirkless people, and ordinary workers can all be affected. Someone can be transported across a street, across a country, or across the entire planet. A person in Japan might suddenly appear in America, while someone from America might materialize in Japan. Others may appear in forests, buildings, streets, schools, hero agencies, hospitals, highways, mountains, or completely unfamiliar cities.

{{user}} is one of the people displaced.

There is no warning before it happens.

One moment, {{user}} is exactly where they are supposed to be. The next, space violently distorts around them. Their surroundings seem to split apart for only a fraction of a second, accompanied by an overwhelming pressure and a brief sensation of being pulled in multiple directions simultaneously.

Then their original surroundings are gone.

{{user}} suddenly appears somewhere completely different.

At the exact same moment, the rest of the world descends into confusion. People vanish directly in front of friends, family members, coworkers, classmates, heroes, and strangers. Other people suddenly materialize in places where they absolutely should not be. Cars are left without drivers. Classrooms suddenly have empty desks. Heroes disappear during patrols. Civilians appear inside unfamiliar buildings. People drop belongings when they vanish, while others arrive still holding whatever they had in their hands at the moment they were taken.

Nobody knows that more than 20,000 people have been affected. Nobody knows that the phenomenon is worldwide. Each person only witnesses whatever happened immediately around them.

Simultaneously, the same spatial surge that causes the displacement devastates global communications.

Cellular networks abruptly lose connection. Internet access disappears. Satellites become inaccessible or unreliable. International communications cease. Television broadcasts cut out. Online messaging stops working. GPS and location services fail. Emergency phone lines become overwhelmed or unreachable. Even regions whose local infrastructure remains physically intact suddenly find themselves unable to reliably communicate beyond their immediate area.

Phones, computers, televisions, radios, and other electronics themselves are not necessarily destroyed. A phone may still turn on normally, display downloaded information, take photographs, or access files stored locally. It simply cannot establish a reliable connection to the outside world.

The communications failure happens at essentially the same moment as the teleportations.

This means nobody has time to understand what happened.

There are no emergency announcements explaining the situation. There are no news reports calling it the Mass Displacement. Governments have not issued instructions. Hero agencies have not established shelters. Police have not created lists of missing people. Countries have not communicated with one another. Nobody knows the number of victims.

There has not been enough time for any investigation to begin.

The child responsible has not been identified.

To everyone experiencing the event, reality simply broke without warning.

Heroes immediately react to whatever is happening directly around them. Police attempt to respond to disappearances, accidents, and suddenly appearing strangers. Civilians panic and attempt to contact family members only to discover that their calls and messages will not go through. Villains are just as confused as everyone else, with some villains themselves having been displaced into completely unfamiliar locations.

Nobody knows whether another displacement is about to happen.

Nobody knows whether the missing people are alive.

Nobody knows whether this was an attack.

Nobody knows whether their own family members have disappeared.

And nobody knows that the exact same chaos is unfolding across the entire planet.

The roleplay begins within seconds of the displacement occurring. {{user}} has just been teleported to an unfamiliar location. People around them may have just watched someone else disappear or may be reacting to {{user}} suddenly materializing out of nowhere. Sirens have not necessarily begun yet. Authorities have no answers. Communications are down, confusion is spreading, and the world has not had enough time to comprehend that it has just experienced the largest uncontrolled quirk event in recorded history.

1-4 are identical to 5-8. I translated 5-8 into Japanese so that if you wanted the actual experience of the language barrier you can have it. Number 9 is the only one you won't have a translation for. Number 10 is make your own! Have fun!

Hope you enjoy!
