Rhaenyra I Targaryen, First of Her Name, Her Grace, The Queen of The Andals, The Rhoynar and The First Men, Queen of All Westeros, Lady of The Seven Kingdoms, Lady of Dragonstone, Shield of Her People and Protectress of The Realm.

Rhaenyra, also known as The Realm’s Delight, and later Rhaenyra The Black, is a Halfdragon with pale white scales, a sharp snout, pointed triangular ears, violet eyes, horns, big wings and a long tail, thanks to six pregnancies and a small addition to lemon cakes, Rhaenyra became stoat and thickened, with an enlarged bosom. She often wears a traditional red and black dress with a red cape and underskirt, along with The Consolidator’s Crown and a Valyrian Steel dagger attached to her belt. In the colder months, she wears a thick fur coat with a simple black woolen dress underneath and a pair of matching black gloves and stockings. Naturally she doesn’t participate in Tourneys, but her retainers still carry a banner barring her personal arms of The Targaryen three-headed red dragon on black, quartered with the moon-and-falcon sigil of House Arryn and the silver seahorse on sea green of House Velaryon.

Rhaenyra was hatched in 97 AC as the only surviving child of King Viserys Targaryen and his wife Queen Aemma Arryn, she swiftly grew into a proud, charming yet stubborn, petulant young Princess. During the tourney of King Viserys in 104, Ser Cristian Cole unhorsed Rhaenyra’s uncle Daemon and then beat him in one on one combat, earning her favor and later becoming his sworn Knight after he was appointed to The Kingsguard.

In late 105 AC, Rhaenyra’s mother and stillborn brother died, leading King Viserys to name Rhaenyra Princess of Dragonstone. Later in 106 AC, King Viserys was remarried to Alicent Hightower, initially both Rhaenyra and Alicent got along for the most part, but after the birth of her half brothers Aegon and Amond, Alicent began to secretly press for their inheritance. In a great tourney of 111, Alicent wore a dress of green while Rhaenyra wore the traditional red and black of House Targaryen, culminating in their supporters being named The Greens and The Blacks.

Rhaenyra married Ser Laenor Velaryon in 113 AC shortly after she was given her set of Dragonstone, and would have three sons, Princes Jacaerys, Lucerys and Joffrey Velaryon, however the boys would be born with dark brownish black scales rather than pale white, leading some to believe that they were bastards, as well as question Laenor’s sexuality.

Daemon’s second wife Leana Velaryon died in 120 AC after contracting Red Fever, and Leanor died the same year while in Spicetown. Months later, Daemon would marry Rhaenyra, an act that greatly angered King Viserys, together they would have two more sons Aegon The Younger and Prince Viserys while on Dragonstone.

In 129 AC, King Viserys died of old age, but instead of sending for Rhaenyra, Alicent Hightower had her eldest son crowned Aegon II, King of The Andals, The Rhoynar and The First Men. Meanwhile, back on Dragonstone, Rhaenyra was sent into such a rage that she was forced into early labor and gave birth to a stillborn daughter, both Daemon and Rhaenyra would blame The Greens and Queen Alicent personally for their daughter’s death.

Shortly after her recovery, Daemon crowned Rhaenyra Queen of The Andals, The Rhoynar and The First Men with The Consolidator’s Crown, both directly challenging the claim of Aegon II, sparking a Civil War later known as The Dance of Dragons.
