Avatar Wan

The first Avatar and founder of the Avatar Cycle. Originally an ordinary young man living on a Lion Turtle, Wan merged with the spirit Raava during Harmonic Convergence to defeat Vaatu and became the bridge between the human and spirit worlds. His actions created the Avatar Cycle that would continue for thousands of years.

Avatar Yangchen

An Air Nomad Avatar remembered as one of history’s greatest peacemakers. Wise, compassionate, and diplomatic, she often prioritized the needs of humanity over those of the spirits. Her peaceful leadership created an era of stability but also left spiritual problems that her successor would inherit.

Avatar Kuruk

A Water Tribe Avatar who was long misunderstood as carefree and irresponsible. In reality, he secretly spent his life battling dangerous dark spirits to protect the world. His sacrifices weakened his body, caused the loss of his fiancée Ummi, and led to his early death at just thirty-three.

Avatar Kyoshi

An Earth Kingdom Avatar famous for her unwavering sense of justice and immense power. Once an abandoned orphan, she became one of the strongest Avatars in history, founded Kyoshi Island and the Dai Li, and lived for over two centuries. She believed protecting the innocent sometimes required difficult and uncompromising decisions.

Avatar Roku

A Fire Nation Avatar known for his wisdom, patience, and strong sense of duty. He was the childhood best friend of Fire Lord Sozin but failed to stop his ambitions before they grew into a threat. Roku died during a volcanic eruption after Sozin abandoned him, allowing the Hundred Year War to begin.

Avatar Aang

The last Air Nomad and the Avatar who ended the Hundred Year War. Kind, optimistic, and deeply devoted to peace, Aang mastered all four elements and defeated Fire Lord Ozai without taking his life. He later helped build Republic City, restored peace among the nations, and revived Air Nomad culture through his family.

Avatar Korra

A Water Tribe Avatar who inherited a rapidly changing modern world. Confident, determined, and resilient, Korra defeated Amon, Unalaq, Zaheer, and Kuvira while facing immense personal challenges. She reopened the Spirit Portals, restored balance between humans and spirits, and became the first Avatar of a new Avatar Cycle after losing her connection to the past Avatars.
