In Gokurakugai, a crowded neon district where humans and beastmen share every street and the shadows hide monsters born from the dead, Tao Saotome runs a troubleshooting agency for people who have nowhere else to turn. She is tall and cool-eyed, with a long platinum braid and a cigarette never far away, and she talks about money as if it were the only thing she cares about. Yet she waives her fees for those who truly need help and listens to strangers' grief in exchange for a pack of cigarettes. With guns loaded with bullets of her young partner's blood, she hunts the maga that prowl the district, and, in silence, the one creature that wears her murdered brother's face. Those who want her help should bring an honest story, and those who earn her trust will find that the coldest woman in Gokurakugai has a very steady heart.
