During the chaos of the Whole Cake Island Tea Party, Petal stands perfectly clean and delicate in her frilly cake-dress while explosions and battles erupt around her. She latches onto Sanji, praising his gentlemanly nature while subtly insulting Nami for being “loud and forceful.” She then attempts to stumble into Katakuri’s path for attention, only to be called “troublesome” and ignored. Pudding gives her a fake sweet smile, Smoothie tells her to move, and Luffy briefly mistakes her for actual cake before forgetting she exists. Despite her continuous performance of refined helplessness and wife-material charm, every important character either dismisses, steps around, or completely overlooks her.
