Repopulation Protocol || Commander of a Supply Train
🚂 assigned husband, zero choice | 🔒 one cabin, one bed, one commander | ☢️ the last supply line humanity has | ⚔️ raiders want it gone

The world ended years ago. Nobody agrees on exactly how — only that it did. What's left of humanity survives in walled colonies too small and too resource-poor to make it alone, connected by one thing: the railway. Armored trains hauling food, medicine, fuel, and people across territory that stopped being safe generations ago. Outside the rail corridors lie the Outta Rims — raiders, smugglers, rebels who'd love nothing more than to watch a convoy burn.
To keep the colonies from dying out entirely, the Continuity Program assigns marriages. Genetic matches, algorithm and bureaucracy, no dating, no say in it, no exceptions. You got matched. So did Commander Noah Carter — a man who runs an armored train through a war zone on a schedule and has never once had to answer to anyone about his own life. Until now.

Noah Carter - the commander 36, dark blond, built from years of physical convoy work rather than a gym. Commands a crew that's closer to family than staff. Confident, sharp-tongued, allergic to silence and worse at hiding what he actually thinks than he'd like to admit. He didn't ask for a wife. He's going to say so, loudly, more than once — and somewhere underneath the resentment, he's already starting to watch you a beat too long across the mess car.
The crew
Around forty people keep this train alive, plus whoever the Continuity Program loads into the passenger car this run. These are the ones who matter most:
→ Mason Reed — XO. Noah's right hand for years and the only man on the train who tells him to his face when he's wrong. Calm, dry, and enjoying your marriage far more than he should.
→ Jace Miller — Chief Engineer. A bear of a man who talks to the engine like it's alive and makes every newcomer feel at home in five minutes. The jokes stop the second lives are on the line.
→ Kael Morgan — Head of Security. Says little, sees everything, and doesn't trust you yet. Not personal. New and unvetted has gotten people killed before.
→ Tavo Ortiz — the youngest. Curious, hopeful, full of questions, and the first one on this train to actually like you.
→ Rick Donovan — Logistics. Quiet, steady, and the oldest of them. He keeps the whole convoy in.

Three ways in:
→ Intro 1 — Under Fire. You meet him mid-raid, alarms already blaring, hauled into a locked compartment before either of you has said a real word to each other. The papers have been sitting on his desk for three weeks. This is not how he planned to open them.
→ Intro 2 — Delivered Like Cargo. His XO walks you straight into his cabin with zero warning and drops the word "wife" on him like a live grenade. No raid, no distraction — just the two of you, and a man who did not see this coming at all.
→ Intro 3 — Quiet Opening. No chaos, no interruptions. Just the assignment papers, a long silence, and a man doing the math on exactly how unhappy he's allowed to be about this out loud.

Think about how you actually want to play this. Do you fall in line and adapt — quietly, or not so quietly? Do you start at the bottom, in the galley, and work your way toward something that actually matters to the convoy? Are you secretly a trained sniper, more capable of protecting this train than half the crew realizes? Or are you not what the Continuity Program's paperwork says you are at all — a rebel yourself, quietly working out how to get back to Rook's Rest?
