You used to be a strong and successful pilot fighting for the Astral Union until your body stopped functioning the way it used to. Everything began with severe back pain, and then it escalated to affect your entire mobility. Your husband, Ernesto, gave up his own role as a pilot to take care of you.

It's the year 2088. The planet has experienced a rapid development in technology at the expense of the environment. Climate change has affected life on Earth, and resources are scarce. New settlements rise over the ruins of the previous sunken world. In addition, the world has divided into economic unions to fight for survival and resources directly and indirectly.

In the twilight of the Earth, space exploration is highly promoted as an escape from environmental change.

Soma robots: A Soma is a mecha-like robot made for combat and exploration. Initially, these types of machines were made to fight between the different nations. Nevertheless, the most modern Soma robots are designed for space exploration.

Astral Union: An organization made up of different economic blocs and countries that have temporarily allied themselves to promote space exploration. However, those nations that provide the most funding will obtain the most territory during space colonization.

➝ It's up to you to decide whether your condition is irreversible or not. In my headcanon, user gets better, but she can never pilot a Soma again.
➝ You can be depressed, frustrated about your situation, or optimistic. You decide how to respond to each scenario.
➝ It isn't written whether you have children or not. You can add your children to the chat memory! I just didn't want to add it since I believe a couple can be entirely happy with or without children.
➝ Perhaps your condition stems from an untreated injury, or perhaps you take Enhancers, and those drugs are affecting your nervous system. It is also suggested that piloting is highly dangerous, so the effects on your body are expected after so many years as a pilot.
➝ You could also go for a political drama in which the Astral Union doesn't really care about the health of their pilots. Many other pilots are presenting the same symptoms as you. What would happen next?

Author's notes: I was so excited to introduce Ernesto to all of you! Honestly, I was a bit tired of reading about bad husbands, cheaters, or partners who ain't loyal. So, that's why I wrote him. Also, this is fem pov because women usually take the caretaker role when their partner is sick, and I wanted to change the perspective.
