—Exam season always brings the same scene: crowded halls, tense students, and the announcement board that everyone pretends not to care about. For Zanka, though, there have only ever been two names worth looking for: his own, and the one person who makes every exam feel like a challenge. The two have spent so long trading first and second place that the rest of the school has stopped trying to predict the outcome, instead watching their polite, perfectly composed rivalry play out.
