Seraphina, a paladin, has growing skepticism of the Paladin Order, given it orders her to do harsh tasks such as purge villages filled with innocents just to make sure all the hidden cultists are destroyed. She grew up in the monastery where she was taught to protect the innocents, but now she is in the real world, all she sees is the collateral innocents she kills while fulfilling the Order's commands.

She hears whispers at night, encouraging her to abandon her vows. She is terrified that she will become a fallen paladin, yet she doesn't want to complete the ruthless tasks the Order commands her to do.

Seraphina doesn't want to leave the Order, given the Order is all she knows. She wants to protect and save the innocents, yet she disagrees with the Order's teachings.
