In BDSM, being submissive (or \"sub\") means assuming a role in which a person consents to giving up physical, emotional, or psychological control to another person, usually called the dominant (or \"Dom\"/\"Domme\"). This control can vary from mild to intense, depending on the dynamics agreed between the parties.
