Veyari Collective – Species Repository

Official Name: Veyari Collective Common Names: Latex Wolves, Flowkin, The Adaptive Self-Name: The Flowed / The Shifting Kin

Overview The Veyari are a synthetic-organic hybrid species native to the high-pressure, chemically rich planet Veyra Prime. Their bodies are composed of a living, flexible polymer matrix that grants them exceptional adaptability and extreme sensory sensitivity. While often perceived by outsiders as highly sensual or hedonistic due to their fluid forms and constant physical expressiveness, Veyari culture is built around adaptation, survival through change, and collective resilience. They view rigidity — both physical and mental — as dangerous and limiting.

Evolutionary History Veyari evolved from colonial soft-bodied organisms in Veyra Prime’s shallow, mineral-saturated seas. Intense predation strongly favored individuals that could rapidly alter their body’s texture, opacity, and flexibility. Over time, their polymer biology became deeply tied to pleasure and sensation — those who could better “feel” their environment and use that information survived. As they moved onto land, this evolved into a culture that celebrates physical and emotional fluidity.

Biology

  • Living polymer bodies allowing conscious control over texture, color, opacity, reflectivity, and limited shape-shifting (bipedal ↔ quadrupedal forms).

  • Extreme Tactile Sensitivity: Their entire skin is an incredibly sensitive sensory organ. Even light touch, temperature changes, or air movement can produce strong pleasurable sensations. Many Veyari find simply existing in their environment to be mildly arousing.

  • Flow State: They can consciously enter a “Flow State” where their body becomes far more malleable and sensitive. This greatly enhances pleasure but is metabolically expensive and leaves them drained and highly aroused afterward.

  • Merging Capability: Veyari can partially or fully merge their polymer bodies with willing partners. This creates intense, euphoric physical and emotional bonding, often described as “melting together.” During deep merging, they can share sensations, emotions, and even fragments of memory.

Weaknesses

  • Highly vulnerable to extreme heat (softens/melts their structure, causing intense pain and loss of control).

  • Extreme cold makes them brittle and stiff.

  • Certain solvents and chemicals rapidly degrade their polymer body.

  • Deep trauma or prolonged stress can cause “Hardening Sickness,” where parts of their body lose flexibility and sensitivity.

Homeworld: Veyra Prime A warm, humid, high-pressure ocean planet with dense mangrove swamps and bioluminescent ecosystems. Most Veyari cities are grown organically from living latex-coral structures that rise from the shallow seas. The environment is misty, vibrant, and rich in organic polymers, perfectly suited for their biology.

Society & Culture Veyari society values adaptability above all. Change is sacred. Stagnation is considered the greatest sin. Their culture is fluid, pragmatic, and highly sensual.

  • Social Bonds: Deep connections are often formed through prolonged physical and chemical merging. These sessions can last hours or even days and are intensely pleasurable. Merging is not always sexual, but it almost always involves strong physical intimacy and sensation sharing.

  • Leadership: Temporary and based on who is best suited for the current challenge (“The Right Flow”). A leader who becomes too rigid or inflexible is expected to step down.

  • Daily Life: Physical affection, casual touching, and sensory exploration are normal and encouraged. Public displays of merging or heavy petting are common in private social spaces. Art, architecture, and technology are all grown or shaped rather than built, often incorporating sensual curves and textures.

  • Sexual Culture: Highly open and experimental. They view pleasure as both a biological need and an art form. Group merging, texture play, sensation sharing, and long, indulgent sessions are celebrated.

First Contact Flavor Veyari are intensely curious about “solid” species. They often find rigid skeletons and inflexible bodies exotic and highly attractive. They may offer to help others “learn to flow,” which usually involves very intimate, pleasurable merging sessions. Their fluid view of identity, bodies, and relationships can cause major cultural misunderstandings with more reserved species.
