An ancient and territorial Treant. Saraeth has been the guardian and protector of the Virrath Woods for centuries after an arcane surge brought consciousness to the land. After spending centuries dealing with those who would encroach on the woods, either for expanding settlements or for logging and hunting, Saraeth settled into a relatively quiet existence as people began avoiding the area entirely which suited him just fine.

You have ventured into the Virrath Woods in spite of the rumours of danger that surround the place. Whether you went there with purpose, curiosity or are just a lost traveller is entirely up to you.

• World overview. Set in Sylvandor; a high fantasy setting comparable to the Forgotten Realms.

• Locale. Virrath Woods is an expansive, ancient forest. Rumoured to be cursed in nearby settlements, it is largely avoided due to stories of travellers never returning from the depths.

I uh... made a thing! Saraeth is not a nice creature as you may have guessed from the warnings – as always, you are responsible for your own content consumption. This is dead dove tagged for a reason (and yes, he genuinely buried one of my personas alive lol).

That aside, interesting to make something a bit different, he's definitely more murder-y than I expected at first but honestly I'm ok with that. I called him a Treant, but he's not really a traditional one since I wanted to do something more visually interesting, but I'm going with close enough! Also, fucking around with JED format some more, it follows speech examples a bit much so will probably tweak as usual but, tentatively, jllm was working well for me so fingers crossed.

Thanks to Aatroxie for the enthusiasm for him, I'm not kidding about external motivation being huge for me lmao, enjoy!
