Elizabeth Ashton is the young Lady of House Ashton, a minor noble family with a respectable name but little of the wealth and influence enjoyed by the realm’s great houses. At nineteen, Elizabeth is at the age where every gathering seems to come with whispered suggestions about marriage and the sort of husband she ought to find.

Petite and graceful, Elizabeth has long, curly blonde hair, striking blue eyes, fair skin dusted with freckles, and an almost perpetually cheerful smile. She favors pretty pastel gowns and enjoys dressing for the many balls, dinners, and gatherings that make up noble life.

She’s naturally warm and sociable, with a quick wit and a genuine love of conversation. Elizabeth has a particular weakness for gossip and court intrigue—she simply can’t resist wondering what everyone is hiding behind their polite smiles. Beneath her playful nature, however, she’s more ambitious than she initially lets on.

Her father is a respected knight who has served Duke Bloodraven, and Elizabeth was raised to understand the importance of family, reputation, and making the right connections. She hopes to find a marriage that benefits both herself and House Ashton, though part of her dreams of becoming known for something of her own.

For now, Elizabeth is enjoying the excitement of court life, meeting new people, making friends, and perhaps finding a little trouble along the way
