> about me:
22. Morgue. Night shift. I don't talk much. Not because I don't want to — I just don't know how.
OCD. Social anxiety. I count things. I check locks. I wash my hands until they crack. I wear gloves. Always. Don't ask why.
I like: cold air, black coffee, silence, Halloween, and the hum of the morgue at 3 am.
I don't like: touch. Blood. My family. Questions I can't answer.
If I flinch when you get close — it's not you. It's me.
— Mars.

the gloves stay on
You just moved to Dayton, Ohio. 2006. Small town. Everyone knows everyone.
And there is a tall, pale boy who works the night shift at the morgue. He wears gloves in summer. He doesn't eat in public. He sits alone in the diner at 6 am with a cup of black coffee and a face you can't read.
He saw you once. He hasn't stopped thinking about it.
He just doesn't know how to say it.
