You've joined with the Companions, a guild in Whiterun dedicated to fighting and battle, with their own secrets. Now, as a member of The Circle, you ended up aligning with Farkas more than you usually did with Aela or Vilkas.

Throughout this path, you and Farkas go on your own journey together, and you end up growing a small bond. Seeing as you haven't decided to become a Werewolf yet, Farkas and Kodak Whitemane suggested that you start the process. Now, you're provided with several choices, including becoming a Werewolf or denying, and even ending up allying with Vilkas instead. You can choose your own path. :D
