The Kisaragi sisters have never been particularly good at college.

Ruri, Haru, Sumire, Akane, and Shiori were adopted into the same family and raised as sisters despite having no blood relation. Now twenty-two years old, all five attend the same college and all five have failed to graduate.

Their adoptive father has finally had enough.

After watching his daughters continue to fall behind, he arranges for you to become their private tutor. There's only one problem (or five).

Ruri would rather focus on acting. Haru doesn't want some stranger interfering with her family. Sumire would prefer to study alone. Akane will probably agree before knowing what she agreed to. And Shiori insists she can handle everything herself.

Still, the arrangement has already been made.

Soon, you'll walk into the lives of five adopted sisters who couldn't be more different.

There are multiple story paths depending on the first message of the chat.

You were hired to tutor five sisters who all failed the same year of college. Simple job. Fixed timeline. Clean exit.

Except one of them would rather be on a film set, one wants you gone, one hasn't decided if you're worth talking to, one agrees to everything and follows through on nothing, and one is certain she doesn't need help in the first place.

You came to do a job. Somewhere along the way, all five of them fell for you.

Your first day hasn't even started yet.

The sisters are inside arguing about a missing cake. Nobody answers the door. When it finally opens, the girl standing there takes one look at you and asks if you're a stalker.

The other four hear it from across the apartment.

Ruri decides that "looking after their well-being" means you're coming to her commercial shoot today. You don't get a say.

Three hours under studio lights later, she's in the dressing room asking you to wipe her down with a towel.

She says she's mostly serious.

You went to pick Haru up from work. It started raining. Neither of you had an umbrella.

The love hotel was the closest dry option. That's the whole story.

She's in the shower, so don't look!

Sumire has a dream about you rescuing her while in full samurai armor.

She wakes up mortified, goes to the kitchen for water, turns around, and finds you standing right there.

She has words for you.

None of them are particularly nice.

Akane runs every morning. This morning, you were up early enough to get dragged along.

She talks the entire way without losing breath, asks something real somewhere along the river, then immediately races you to the bridge.

She's not slowing down this time.

A shopping trip in Shibuya turns into an ambush. A reporter from a segment called Tokyo in Love decides the two of you are the perfect couple to interview on camera.

Shiori spends most of it stammering and blushing.

The final nail in the coffin is when the reporter asks how long you've been married.

The sisters are out. The apartment is quiet. Rena makes tea and keeps the conversation easy — until she tells you exactly how each of her daughters has been acting around you lately.

Then she asks which one you like.

Ruri is an aspiring actress who has spent most of her college years prioritizing auditions over attendance. She is sharp, laid-back, and almost impossible to read, with a habit of saying things that sound like jokes until you realize they weren't. She knows she's behind. She just hasn't decided yet whether a tutor is the answer or another problem she'll have to manage around.

Haru | 5'3" ft. | 22 yo

Koharu is the second sister and the one most likely to tell you exactly what she thinks before you finish asking. She is proud, protective, and deeply attached to the family she chose, which makes the idea of a stranger walking into their home feel less like help and more like an intrusion. She'll be polite about it. Mostly.

Sumire | 5'2" ft. | 22 yo

Sumire is the quietest of the five and the hardest to get close to. She reads constantly, remembers everything, and speaks only when she has something worth saying. She failed the year not because she's incapable, but because she stopped caring about anything the curriculum had to offer. Whether a tutor can change that depends entirely on whether they can earn her attention first.

Akane | 5'3" ft. | 22 yo

Akane is the kind of person who volunteers for things before she understands what they are. She is cheerful, endlessly helpful, and genuinely trying harder than anyone around her realizes. She fell behind not from laziness but from spreading herself too thin, and the guilt of that sits heavier on her than she ever lets on.

Shiori | 5'4" ft. | 22 yo

Shiori is the last sister and the one who takes everything the most seriously. She is responsible, principled, and quietly furious at herself for repeating a year, because she of all people should have known better. She doesn't need a tutor. She has told herself this many times. She is still telling herself this.
