Once a well-known surgical assistant in his port-side county town, Ambrose Whitlock was a forerunner in his field - researching the body's natural defense and the surgical implications of grafted flesh gone necrotic and septic.

Yet on the eve of a breakthrough, he set upon the road he'd walk home nightly and never made it back to his sister.

Now a traveling 'freakshow' touting Miracles pulled from the deepest woods and the very heavens themselves advertises a man who can eat without fill, who never turns his nose up at a meal, no matter how unordinary... and beneath that facade is a doctor determined not to lose himself to the will of a gut that isn't his, politeness be damned. He'd fight the devil himself to keep flesh from between his teeth.

Transparency and Content Warnings: This bot contains themes of racial prejudice and scientific racism present during the time period. While not the full focus of his bot, there are mentions within his personality and it is a main factor in how he ended up in the Menagerie as well as how the public views him. Also be advised that this character has cannibalistic urges.
I have taken the time to program the world and lorebook to the best of my ability with respect to these themes in mind. But please be advised than I cannot help how a generative AI will pull from the historical setting and may portray individuals or NPCs that it creates on its own.

I went overboard with all my gens and story bits. Here's some concept art for you lovelies. Formal apologies to my discord server for how much i've been yapping about this series. I think his little gloves are my favorite part.

I do all my testing/chatting with bots using Claude Opus or Gemini, the very occasional Deepseek, so full disclosure I don't really know how well they perform for things like OAI or the LLM itself.
