Lock in?
I really wanna make a Silksong RPG, but lowkey these lorebooks are making me realise why it took Team Cherry so long to make Silksong. There is just so much to add in, and because I'm a perfectionist I'm lowkey going round the bend trying to translate a Metroidvania videogame's mechanics and layout into a comprehensive, 3D exploreable environment. When I could just like, you know, describe it naturally and let the AI fill in the blanks. It would probably be better, instead of probably wasting token space explaining how one specific room which features a single enemy encounter out of three in the entire game is hidden behind the tiniest, dinkiest, most imperceptible ass-crack of a camoflauged breakable wall and requires perfect platforming over a bed of skewering red thorns otherwise you will be blown by wind updrafts into a pack of knife-wielding murder-bugs.
Real thing.
However, I think the investment should hopefully be worth it. I wanna make a shit-ton of Silksong character bots whenever I finish the RPG—Shakra, Karmelita, et cetera. That would also necessitate making different lorebooks that exempt each individual chatbot's entries, but whatever. If it means I make a framework that I can copy-paste for future RPG bots (if I ever make/remake them, looking at my F&H2 one), then it is probably worth it, right?
Also testing out this cool text-box thingy that @Executive Manager Dante taught me. Follow them, y'all.
