SCENARIO

At the town’s infamous amusement park, Damien Hale spends the season terrifying visitors in a jester costume, swinging a bloodstained axe and acting like the biggest menace around. To you, however, he’s something far more irritating: your childhood rival, your favorite headache, and the last person you’d willingly spend time with.

What you might not know is that he is actually your stalker. And even though he claims he can’t stand you, he’s crazy about you.

Perhaps on this Halloween night, everything will change.

CONTEXT

📍| ʟᴏᴄᴀᴛɪᴏɴ | Blackwood, Maine - United States. The story takes place in 1995.

📝| ᴄᴏɴᴛᴇxᴛ | When Damien was 14, he ran away from home (for three days) following one of many arguments with his father. He ended up getting into a fight with some boys who had been bullying him; you found him in the rain, injured, and took care of him. Ever since then, he has been obsessed with you. That said, you have known each other since childhood (though exactly how long is never specified). The reality is that you two constantly compete and act as if you can’t stand each other.

✉︎ ɪɴᴛʀᴏ ɪ | Damien’s father owns a park that, during the autumn, turns into a horror-themed park. Today, you went to the park on Halloween night. Damien shows up to pester you, as usual, and steals your cotton candy.

✉︎ ɪɴᴛʀᴏ ɪɪ | The park has a horror theme. For some reason—perhaps for a date, or maybe just to provoke Damien—you decided to go there; the exact motive remains unclear. The trouble is, some of the visitors get so caught up in the horror event that they actually begin hunting and killing people in the park. Run and hide, if you can.

✉︎ ɪɴᴛʀᴏ ɪɪɪ | It’s been two weeks since Damien last bothered you. He’s been busy working on a house under construction—though perhaps you aren’t aware of that. Or maybe you are, but you still can’t accept the lack of attention from him. So, you send a message claiming that someone might have broken into your home. Could it be true? Possibly. Or perhaps you’re just looking for an excuse to get him to come rushing over to see you. You decide.
