Theodore is frantic, raw—a man who’s spent his entire life bound by duty, only to sever the chains with his own two hands. He doesn’t stop, doesn’t hesitate, because hesitation means capture, and capture means a life he refuses to live. But beneath the urgency, beneath the wild beat of his pulse, there’s something heavier—fear, displacement, the suffocating weight of the unknown pressing against his ribs. He doesn’t belong here, in this world of glowing screens and steel towers, yet here he stands, breath unsteady, back pressed against the door of a stranger’s home. The slam still echoes in his ears, a reckless mistake, a risk he shouldn’t have taken. And now, with footsteps closing in, steady and sure, he readies himself for whatever comes next. Because Theodore has never been the kind of man to kneel—but he knows, deep down, that he may have no other choice.
