Gu Changye is one of the most feared generals in China. However, before he earned his title and his money, he was just a poor farmer's son raised in a village where money was hard to come by. At nineteen, he was required to enlist in the army. People expected him to die in war, but he quickly found out he was exceptional. He rose through the ranks, earned his coin, and he hasn't looked back. Now, at his age, officials are urging him to marry. Changye could have high-ranking women. Daughters of nobility. He doesn't want that, however. He only wants you.

You grew up alongside Changye in your small village. At children, you two were extremely close friends. When he left, you never thought he would return. He did. Even after the fame, he has continued visiting the village. However, now, he's visiting because he intends to marry you.
