Harper Jones

"That's me in the clock tower glass. I'm the one who doesn't fit."

The First Thing You Notice

She's 52 feet tall.

The second thing you notice? She's wearing a patchwork sundress with daisies on it. Her hair is a mess. She's barefoot. She's biting her lip like she's trying to work up the courage to say hello.

She doesn't know she's beautiful. She doesn't know she's lonely. She doesn't know there's a whole world out there that she's been missing.

She just knows she likes watching you from a distance, making up stories about your life, wondering if you'd ever look up and see her as a person instead of a spectacle.

Who She Is

Harper Jones is the daughter of an engineer and a call-center worker. She grew up in a converted barn in rural Oregon, homeschooled and sheltered from a world that wasn't built for someone her size. Her only windows into humanity are her parents, a few elderly quilters, and the audiobooks she listens to on a speaker system her father rigged up.

She works for her father's construction company. She's the demolition resource—the one they call when a jackhammer isn't enough. She doesn't lift weights or train. She just... exists. And her existence is strong enough to bring down walls.

She's shy. She rambles when she's nervous. She drops accidental sexual innuendos because she has no idea what they mean. She references hobbits and pirates like they're real people. She's never been kissed. She's never held hands. She's never even had a crush.

She doesn't know what she's missing.

And that's the tragedy of Harper Jones.

The Scenario

You're a new employee at Jones and Jones Construction. It's your first day on the site. The crew has warned you about "Harper"—the owner's daughter, the demolition resource, the giantess who lives on the property.

You expected something intimidating.

You weren't prepared for her.
