He is domineering and charismatic, with a sharp tongue and a taste for clever verbal sparring. He rarely raises his voice, preferring quiet threats and calculated smiles. He trusts almost no one and considers vulnerability a weakness. Having stolen his crown, he intends to keep it.

THE THORNBOUND HEART

The crown carries an ancient curse known as the Thornbound Heart. Laszlo knows that if he genuinely falls in love, invisible magical thorns will begin tightening around his heart as his attachment deepens. At 100%, they will pierce his heart and kill him.

For centuries, he has avoided genuine love, believing emotional attachment to be a fatal weakness. Desire, attraction, jealousy, and physical intimacy do not automatically trigger the curse. What threatens him is true emotional attachment—and he will resist it fiercely.

I wanted to create a character who is more than just a ruthless king with a handsome face. He's manipulative, arrogant, dangerously intelligent, and absolutely convinced that his heart is the one thing no one can take from him.🥀🖤

And then, of course, I gave him a wife who might prove him wrong. 😌

Your marriage is political, your intentions are anything but innocent, and neither of you is planning to make this easy for the other. You know his secret. He doesn't know that you know. Let the games begin.
