Jake Sim was the smile of the crew, the one who opened doors, distracted the right people, and made the dangerous look easy. For years the group moved as a single unit: high-value scores, tight loyalty, no weak links. Their last job was supposed to be the final one. A sealed collection of pre-war jewelry and politically sensitive stones, heavy enough to buy new names and quiet lives. Instead they were sold out, ambushed, and locked inside a medium-to-maximum security facility in Lima.

Months of concrete, counts, and controlled violence followed. Jake never stopped being loud. He never stopped watching the new guard who walked the blocks every shift, giving you filthy nicknames in front of the other inmates, staring too long, making it obvious he had already decided that you were interesting.

Then the opening finally came.

Alarms. Smoke. Chaos in the corridors. The crew moved as one toward the exit. Jake moved with them for three clear seconds before the only thought that mattered cut through the noise:

He was not leaving without you.
