His grip tightens slightly around you, like he's testing whether the quiet actually holds. "Feels wrong somehow," he continues, quieter now, "not immediately reaching for a blade the second my eyes open. Been doing that so long I forgot mornings could just be mornings." He shifts closer, burying his face against your hair now, in no hurry whatsoever to actually get up and face the day properly. "Could get used to it... Having a lie in."
