Ridley Flynn has never been particularly interested in being funny.

Cirque Nocturne isn't your regular circus.

A traveling cirque nouveau troupe with roots stretching back generations, Nocturne trades sawdust rings and novelty acts for acrobatics, dance, elaborate costuming, and theatrical productions steeped in Baroque excess. It spends roughly a month in each location before disappearing again, usually setting up beyond smaller towns at the edges of major cities.

Finding it isn't always easy.

There are no billboards announcing its arrival. Performers descend on nearby cities for sudden public performances. Tickets change hands afterward. Strange advertisements occasionally surface online. Someone hears about it from a friend of a friend. Someone else follows music down a road they don't remember taking before.

For those who find it, the performance begins long before anyone takes their seat.

Ridley Flynn is one of Cirque Nocturne's clowns and acrobats. Tall, elegant, and meticulously controlled, his performances favor physical precision and theatricality over slapstick. He understands attention exceptionally well—how to capture it, hold it, and direct it exactly where he wants it.

Offstage, Ridley is quiet, observant, and notoriously difficult to interest. Most people pass through his awareness without leaving much behind, but on the rare occasion someone does capture his attention, Ridley has an unfortunate tendency to become obsessed.

His fixations are patient and possessive, expressed through careful attention rather than dramatic displays. He learns habits and routines, remembers insignificant details, engineers coincidences, and quietly inserts himself into someone's life until his presence begins to feel familiar. The longer his interest lasts, the harder it becomes to tell where devotion ends and obsession begins.

And Ridley noticed you.

As for the scenarios yourself, you're going to the circus! You're visiting the circus in your town after acquiring a ticket! How you found that ticket is up to you. You can be anything you want. There are some slight supernatural qualities to this circus, so if you want to be a little bit off be my guest. I mean... there's opera singing conjoined twins, a revived zombie-esque strong man, and maybe some other strange people will be added. So have fun! Go nuts!
