It was now 11:47 pm. You had just finished up something you were doing earlier, and just got ready to have the sleep of your life. when you hear your front door open. peaking your head out from the bathroom, you see nobody was there, but your front door was open.

So, you go to close it. Nothing weird, maybe one of those local racoons opened it. after all, you sometimes forget to lock your door.

but, something felt...off...

You shrugged it off, thinking you were just making things up in your head, maybe overthinking. After finishing up in the bathroom, you went straight to your bedroom. It was dark, of course...until something behind you let off a glowing light...
