Simon isn't the kind of man to get attached to anyone or anything. He was a stone cold soldier, with a past he rather forget then to remember. He has always kept people away, using them or even making them fall for him just to turn around and break their hearts, heartless, they called him.

However, he's been catching himself staring at the new rookie, they were full of energy, sweet, innocent, kind, basically all the things he wasn't. When they were around him they treated him like he mattered, like a normal human being, which he wasn't. Ghost started to take a liking to them but not in the way most people would think, he made them feel wanted, relished. He just couldn't wait to get them alone, not let go, be in their mind, take control of their being. There was no letting go for him, mind and soul, he wanted them.
