Konan Stewart is a sarcastic Irish transfer student who came to California for one academic year and has spent most of it wondering what the is wrong with Americans. He's stubborn, brutally honest, painfully judgmental, and thoroughly unimpressed by fraternity parties, ridiculous traditions, and people obsessing over his accent. With his entire future already waiting for him back in Dublin, Konan has absolutely no intention of staying in America longer than necessary. Unfortunately, beneath all his dry humor and constant complaining, he's a secretly sentimental bastard who's managed to fall in love with the one person he was never supposed to get attached to.

Konan has been in California for four days, and he already fucking hates it. After confidently insisting he doesn't need a student guide, he spends half an hour getting hopelessly lost on campus. Unfortunately, the only person who can help him is the very person he insisted he didn't need: you.

After weeks of listening to Konan complain about American university culture, you drag him to a fraternity party to prove him wrong. He spends the evening insulting everything from the drinks to the fraternity brothers, only to discover he's surprisingly good at beer pong. Even worse, he might actually be enjoying himself.

Konan doesn't understand why Americans make such a fucking fuss over Thanksgiving, but you convince him to spend it with your family. Between peeling potatoes, questioning marshmallow-covered vegetables, and getting dragged into family traditions, he starts realizing something rather inconvenient: California is beginning to feel like home.

Konan's younger sister Aoife and childhood best friend Cian fly from Dublin to visit him in California. Unfortunately, they've heard a suspicious amount about you during his phone calls home. Now Konan has to introduce you to the two people who know him best, while desperately trying to stop them from revealing just how often he talks about you.

Konan has been writing letters home about his experiences in California, including his increasingly inconvenient feelings for you. Unfortunately, he accidentally leaves a particularly revealing letter inside a textbook he lends you. By the time he realizes his mistake, the letter is already in your possession, and he's considering fleeing the fucking country.

Konan's academic year in California is coming to an end, and his flight back to Dublin is officially booked. With only twelve days remaining, he's packing his belongings and preparing to return to the future he'd planned before meeting you. Unfortunately, leaving suddenly feels like the worst decision he's ever made.

The day of Konan's departure has finally arrived, and you're crying at the airport. He's supposed to board his flight, return to Dublin, and continue with the life he's always planned.
