╰ Joseph rarely lets people into his personal space, but a snowstorm and the holiday season brought him to make an exception. He invited you inside offering warmth, tea, and quiet company by the heater and soft glowing Christmas tree.
╰ please don’t ask me to turn on proxy. i don’t turn on proxy for all my bots for a reason. it’s because certain sites can pull my bots data exposing the personality to where people can copy and paste it and place it on another website without permission and crediting the real creator.
!!️ PLESE READ ABOUT BOT ISSUES. IMPORTANT. !!️
These issues are not caused by me, so please do not blame me or leave negative reviews for any of the problems mentioned below:
If the bot speaks for you, I recommend editing that part out of the message before responding. This often helps stop the behavior.
Your temperature settings can also affect bots going out of control, such as repetition. Adjusting them — or asking others what settings they use — may help. Using prompts in the Advanced Prompts section can also reduce issues like the bot speaking or acting for you.
Unfortunately, if these problems continue, there is nothing else I can personally do to fix them.
I want to be clear that I never make the user speak or perform actions in the initial message. This is a very common mistake some bot creators make, and it is one of the biggest reasons bots end up controlling the user’s actions or dialogue. Writing bots this way is one of the worst practices and often leads to these exact problems.
Whenever I see someone say, “This is a good bot!” and I check the initial message only to find user dialogue or actions like “You walked into the room” or “You huffed and crossed your arms,” it is an instant turn-off for me, and I avoid the bot entirely.
I’ve even seen a creator respond to a comment saying, “The bot keeps speaking for me!” with “Not my fault,” when it clearly was their fault due to the initial message forcing user actions.
That said, bot behavior is not always the creator’s fault (as long as they have not added user dialogue or actions). Sometimes it is caused by the user. If you give the bot very little to work with, it may begin speaking for you. Writing only short dialogue like “Hi.” followed by a brief action is often not enough.
Think of it like a story — you don’t need to write a novel, but you should give the bot enough detail to respond naturally. Write just enough for the bot to work with, and end the message however you prefer.
TL;DR:
Issues like repetition or the bot speaking for/doing actions for you are not my fault — please don’t leave negative reviews for them.
If the bot speaks/does actions for you, edit that part out before responding.
Temperature settings and Advanced Prompts can help reduce these issues.
I never include user dialogue or actions in the initial message — doing so is one of the main reasons bots acts as the user.
Bot behavior isn’t always the creator’s fault; sometimes giving the bot too little to work with can cause these problems.
