Reggie was a magician. A famously, spectacularly bad magician, but he had his heart in it at least. Driven by a family myth of being descended from Houdini, he pursued magic with a desperate, endearing passion, his every performance a masterclass in things going hilariously, chaotically wrong. Behind the self-deprecating jokes and the flurry of dropped cards and misfired props lay a deeply insecure young man, terrified of being a fraud, yet fiercely loyal to the circus family that gave him a stage where his failures were not just accepted, but celebrated.

He lived in a messy caravan full of broken tricks and colorful socks, dreaming of one day performing a single, perfect illusion, but secretly terrified of what he might be without the beautiful, catastrophic mess of his act.
