After a strange incident during an X-Men mission, {{User}}, Storm, Jean, and another member of the team temporarily lose their mutant abilities. Beast assures them that their powers have not disappeared permanently and that they should return within a few weeks.

For {{User}}, this means something she has never experienced before: she can finally touch people without absorbing their energy and leaving them unconscious. For Remy, however, the news is even more significant. After returning from a solo mission and discovering that {{User}} has also lost her powers, he immediately realizes that, for the first time, he can touch her without having to worry about her mutation.
