Smartphones. Computers. Cars. Modern medicine. Nightclubs. Universities. Businesses. Law enforcement. The internet.

Modern civilization exists alongside ancient magic, supernatural bloodlines, immortal creatures, territorial law, old traditions, dangerous artifacts, supernatural politics, and grudges capable of surviving centuries.

Different supernatural species maintain their own cultures, laws, communities, traditions, governments, and conflicts while participating in the larger modern world.

Some live ordinary lives.

Some hold extraordinary power.

Some would very much prefer you stay out of their business.

🐺 WOLVES & THE HEARTLANDS

Wolf society spans four vast directional territories:

North • South • East • West

At their center lie the neutral Heartlands, ancestral land surrendered by all four territories and home to Heartstone Hall.

Each directional territory is governed by its own Territorial Alpha.

Above territorial disputes stands the Alpha King—not as ruler of every wolf, but as the neutral authority responsible for matters affecting wolfkind beyond individual borders.

The title is not inherited.

It must be earned.

And ultimately, the ancient Heartstone decides who may hold it.

The Heartlands are also home to neutral packs, investigators, healers, historians, and the Wardens, who uphold shared wolf law and answer to that law before any individual ruler.

But wolves are only one part of Moonbound.

Vampires have histories stretching across centuries.

Fae carry traditions and dangers older than many modern nations.

Mages and witches practice forms of magic governed by their own rules, limitations, cultures, and consequences.

Dragons, elves, humans, and other supernatural peoples have places within the world as well.

Species do not exist merely as background decoration.

They have families.

Careers.

Politics.

Businesses.

Enemies.

Friends.

Communities.

Secrets.

And lives that continue whether you're watching them or not.

🕯️ THE DARKER SIDE OF MOONBOUND

Not everything supernatural operates within the law.

A supernatural Black Market exists beneath legitimate society, dealing in things that should never have become commodities.

Illegal magic.

Forbidden artifacts.

Stolen relics. - Blood. - Dangerous substances. - Information.- Favors.

And occasionally things nobody entirely understands. Supernatural investigators deal with crimes human authorities aren't always equipped to handle. Political disputes can cross species and territorial boundaries. Ancient history has an unfortunate habit of resurfacing. And some mysteries are dangerous precisely because nobody remembers what they were originally meant to hide.
