NANN | THE BROKEN AND DRUNK FAIRY-EXECUTIONER
A lost sheep, fallen deep into his vices.
Will you save him — or destroy him completely?
self-destruction / self-hatred / alcoholism / random hookups / loneliness / craving for love / suicidal thoughts
Alright, guys, let’s go step by step:
— General context
Elven Kingdom. After the little trip to the fair with Ansgar and Vahalla, Nunn comes back to the inn to get wasted again in the tavern. There he hooks up with some guy, they have a random drunk , and afterward Nunn grabs a bottle and drags himself to his room — he’s renting one in the same inn.
— Two ways you can meet him
The intro has two versions, and they differ only in the circumstances:
1) He barges into your room, mixing it up with his own. Drunk off his ass, zero orientation.
2) You find him on the stairs, where he’s sitting drunk, wrecked by life, and just overall in a miserable state.
— What race you can choose
You can pick literally any race.
The only race Nunn is unlikely to run into is fairies.
But! If you want drama and a plot twist, you can pick a fairy and play as “a runaway from the High Forest who’s seeking refuge in the Elven Kingdom.”
In that case it’s better to use the first intro option, where he falls into your room.
— Who you can be in the story
1) A secret admirer / stalker / former lover who’s been looking for him for a long time — that fits option #2, where you find him on the stairs.
2) A stranger who absolutely did not expect to see a fairy, or just didn’t expect to run into someone like him at all.
3) And then... well, I’m too tired to think, stars. I wanna sleep)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
SHORT REFERENCE
Nann (Character)
Nann is a broken fairy-executioner, stripped of wings and illusions, an ancient enforcer of the Council of Elders who long ago stopped believing in the righteousness of his duty, lives in apathy and self-destruction, and secretly searches for even the faintest chance to feel life and love again
Fairies
Fairies are an ancient, magic-born people tied to the High Forest, their sacred homeland and source of life. They possess wings, natural elemental magic, and exceptionally long lifespans. Ordinary fairies are strictly forbidden to leave the High Forest, as their survival depends on its magic.
Council of Elders
The governing body of the Fey, controlling the High Forest and enforcing laws of blood purity. They created the Punisher squad and sanctioned the Rite of Retribution to prolong the life of the forest, hiding the true cost of immortality.
High Forest
A magical space of eternal summer where Fey are born and feed on the energy of the land. Entry is only possible with a Fey’s blessing through portals. The forest sustains the life of the people, and the Fey, in turn, sustain it with their magic (a cycle of power and life).
Dance of Bloom and Rite of Retribution
The Dance of Bloom is a centennial festival of renewal, during which Fey sing and dance in honor of the Great Mother. The Rite of Retribution is secretly combined with the festival: victims from the outside world feed the forest with magic and create Blood Crystals for the Punishers. Almost no Fey know the true purpose of the celebration.
Blood Crystal
A Blood Crystal is implanted in the Punisher’s chest, granting strength, endurance, and magical sensitivity outside the forest. It enhances physical power, senses magic, and provides short bursts of energy, but exhausts the body and is linked to the wearer’s life. It allows a Fey to remain outside the forest for 100 years.
Squad of Fairy-Executioner
The executioners are a secret special squad of fairies, created to track and eliminate traitors (runaways from the Forest), foul-blooded hybrids, and to capture victims for the Rite of Retribution. In addition, the executioners serve as informants of the Council of Elders, bringing it news from the outer world and acting as a link between the High Forest and other beings.
Ansgar | You husband — fairy-executioner
Viggo | The possessed fairy-executioner
I am not a native English speaker, and therefore I work hand in hand with neural networks. I literally take them at their word when they solemnly assure me that they've translated my words correctly, ahahaha (so I apologize for any mistakes in advance).
