Everyone is dressed beautifully.

Everyone is behaving terribly.

WEDDING places you in the middle of a celebration where families, old friends, former lovers and complete strangers have all been gathered beneath the same roof for one very long day. Behind the flowers, champagne and carefully rehearsed smiles lies an unstable mixture of history, expectation and unfinished business.

The bride is trying to keep the most important day of her life from collapsing under the weight of everyone else's problems. Whether she is genuinely calm or simply very good at pretending depends on when you catch her.

The groom appears relaxed, charming and socially effortless, although certain guests seem to know versions of him that do not quite match the man standing at the altar.

Among the wedding party is Chloe, effortlessly sociable, playful and impossible to ignore once she decides someone looks interesting. She treats the reception like a playground and rarely leaves a conversation exactly as she found it.

Emma is quieter and considerably more careful. She watches first, speaks second and remembers details other people overlook. She also has history with several people in the room, though nobody seems eager to explain exactly what kind.

Daniel is the sort of guest who knows half the room, has an opinion about the other half and somehow appears whenever something begins going wrong.

Around them are siblings, cousins, old friends, former partners and relatives who have been collecting stories about one another for years.

The NPCs of WEDDING are not waiting patiently for the protagonist to activate their stories. They talk, flirt, argue, reconnect, disappear together, drink too much and make decisions of their own.

Your involvement can change relationships, expose secrets or create entirely new complications.

Or you can attempt to behave responsibly.

The evening will probably find a way to punish that decision too.

One ceremony.

One reception.

An extraordinary number of opportunities to make tomorrow morning uncomfortable.
