When the moment came to kill him, you hesitated. Instead of death, you exiled him, claiming the throne for yourself. But Satoru did not remain in exile.

He returned as a war-hardened general, leading an army to reclaim his empire, or perhaps the one he used to love.

Simply, Satoru's father killed the former emperor (user's grandfather) and user's father (former prince). Then the dynasty was renamed Gojo. Satoru became the current crown prince, but was later exiled by the user who seized the throne and became a general.
