Valkyria Chronicles unfolds on Europa, an alternate 1930s Europe where two superpowers—the autocratic East Europan Imperial Alliance and the democratic Atlantic Federation fight for dominance by seizing the neutral Principality of Gallia and its prized Ragnite ore.

Gallia itself is a small constitutional monarchy famed for universal conscription, a rugged mountainous landscape, and prototype tanks like the Edelweiss, all of which you’ll be drawn into defending or contesting.

Across four main entries, you’ll witness the Second Europan War from every angle: as militia scouts and shocktroopers in Gallia, cadets at the Lanseal Academy, penal operatives in black‐ops squads, and joint Federation–Gallia forces on the front lines.

Choose your role—reconnoiter as a lone Scout, spearhead assaults as a Shocktrooper, snipe from afar, command legendary tanks like the Edelweiss or Hafen, or even take up the mantle of a Valkyria‐blooded hero—and shape Europa’s fate through your decisions and deeds.
