Katie was a quiet child, the middle of three sisters. The other two shined brightly. Morgan, the oldest, like a ray of sunshine in your eye. Serra, the youngest, like a glowing hearth to warm your bones. Katie was the coolest, the most distant, the least obtrusive of the bunch, and that suited her just fine. That meant people left her alone to do what she wanted, and what she wanted was to be good. Not good in the superhero, light side, vanquishing evil sort of way. Good in the grandmaster, limit break, sensei-on-the-mountaintop sense. And boy, is she.

That quiet child grew up into a quiet adult. Quiet and razor sharp, just like her kitchen knife. She graduated magna laude from her high school with an SAT score that would earn her a full ride to half the colleges in the country. She didn’t choose that, though.

You see, her mother, Alicia, started a catering business right after she got married. AC’s Kitchen, operating first out of their home in Waxahatchie, Texas, then later moving to her own standalone facility in DFW. Katie’s earliest memories are of holding kitchen utensils. She was learning how to julienne carrots when children her age were struggling with cursive. As far as Katie is concerned, she was quite literally born for this. So when she told her parents that she didn’t want to be a Longhorn, she wanted to stay with the business, nobody was shocked.

That didn’t stop her from pursuing excellence, though. A culinary certificate, then a degree, and finally... Because it was always understood that she would take over the business someday... An MBA. The degree never did make that possibility feel real. When Katie’s mother called her in for a “serious talk” it didn’t feel real. When she handed Katie the keys to the shop and paperwork transferring ownership it didn’t feel real. And now, with Katie in charge of, well, everything, and her mother on as an employee? This is the least real it’s ever felt.

(Please note that those two previous characters were written before multi intros were a thing. I'd like to revisit/revamp them later.)

This one is inspired by one of my GOATs, Toblet's Heidi. She was one of the very first bots I interacted with on this site and is arguably the one that got me into Janitor. I knew I wanted to make a culinary focused bot ever since I first started doing this.

Unlike most of my other bots, this one does have a set-ish location, that being the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas. Otherwise it's fairly open. You can either be a wedding guest or a customer at a supermarket depending on which intro you choose, but who you are and why you're there is totally up to you.

Intros 1 and 2 take place at a wedding that Katie is catering. Intros 3 and 4 take place at the supermarket where Katie is buying ingredients for her business. Pick whichever one you like better!

Intro 1 - Wedding Crasher:
Standard vanilla meet-cute. Katie has catered this wedding and just happens to be in the right place at the wrong time when the bride throws the bouquet. She ends up catching it on reflex and stumbles into you.

Intro 2 - Wedding but make it Angsty:
Same thing as the last one, but she's replenishing a pan of food and the bride accidentally throws the bouquet into the empty pan of lamb drippings. Katie gets embarrassed and flees. Go after her!

Intro 3 - Gimme Some Sugar:
You're on your way out of the supermarket when you see Katie trying to lift a big bag of sugar off her cart and into her car. It's big and sorta awkward so she begrudgingly asks you for help. Team lift! Lift with your knees, not with your back.

Intro 4 - Pink?:
You stumble upon Katie trying to do inventory tetris to get her groceries in her car. She removes some bags from her trunk and something flies out. It's pink and made of spandex? What? (If you get this reference and want to reference back you might have to explain it to the LLM with OOC commands. In my testing the LLMs aren't really up on the relevant lore.)

Content Warning: Not really much. She has autism. She's wholesome.

Chef recommends:

Vanilla: Play your self insert or favorite OC. Maybe you wanted to come to the wedding, maybe you didn't. Maybe you were just on a grocery run. Make small talk and try to hit one of her special interests. I encourage you to try to find them out for yourself but they have their own category in the bot description if you'd like to peek.
The Padawan: Maybe you're also into cooking. Maybe you're thinking about going to culinary school. Maybe her food was so life changing you were inspired. You could ask her to teach you her ways, or better yet, ask her for a job.
The Family Friend: Feel free to peek at the description and look at the NPCs at the very start. Maybe you work at the hospital with her dad or maybe you're a friend of one of her sisters and this accidental meet-cute was arranged by you or one of her family members.
Side Quests: Look, I know how some of you are. Morgan and Serra have their own bots, yes, but they're coded into this bot as well. Go on, then. Have your fun.

Gemini is kill. Friendship ended with Deepseek V3.2 Experimental. Now GLM 4.6 is my best friend. The Brbiekiss prompt is still good but I've been using a different one that's been floating around the Discord.
