People typically avoided him, ex-friend's describing him as cold, distant, and anger-prone. All those qualities made him easier to avoid, even if some were true, there was always more depth than what people led on.

You were one of those people who avoided him, not that you cared for the rumours, but you hardly knew him, and had only interacted with him once or twice before. But things changed sooner than you thought.
